Lol, it sounds really bad ass at Idle, it's just as soon as you give it any amount of throttle, it sounds like a pissed off Mack truck

Like I said in my first post, noise is not a factor. I only drive the car two or three times a month and that's only in the nicer months. It's a garage queen lol. 2003 with 46,000 miles on it oh yea. I bought it 5 years ago and it had like 35,000 miles on it so 11,000 miles in 5 years says how little it's driven.

Thanks for that link man, ill keep that in mind because even though its under the car I would like it to look like an exhaust tip. Just because I'm picky.

First thing I'm doing when I get my manifold back on is heading to muffler shop. The V band on the downpipe makes it really easy to remove the exhuast for track days
IS your wideband in your downpipe? Mine is about 24" from the turbo in the straight section right underneath the tranny. I'd have to move my wideband bung up a bit (I use vband 's too).

i have my turn down about 6" past the trans. joey said he thinks the vibrations helped contribute to his manifold cracking. since mine is almost back to the rearend, i use a bunch of safety wire mounted to various spots to help support the weight of the rear section of the downpipe. hoping this helps relieve any pressure on the turbo manifold. even with that it still vibrates the car more than not turbo. but that is just because i have a big bws363 hanging off the side on the motor, lol

What about the exhaust cut out valve to open at X rpm surely that's better?

Would it help spool and power too.

I think I'll keep stock exhaust and install one of these.

I am going for the stock look too lol.

Cheers
