Default Opinions on car value please.

Looking to pick up a Cayman maybe next summer and my friend wants first dibs on my car, but even if he does not want it, I am sure I can find a buyer fairly easy. Since it is a friend of mine I don't want to screw the guy, but I don't want to give the car away either, I want fair value. Problem is, I have NO idea what fair value is. I see on cars.com what I think are some fairly crazy asking prices on S2000's. He called me yesterday saying he blew up his Mustang and wanted to know if I was ready to part with it.

But to keep a long story short here are the particulars and then I will shut up.

2001 Silverstone
37,000 miles
SOT Roots Supercharger kit since 30,000 running on EMU
Some other minor additions like Mugen header, Berk cat and lighter, wider rims.
It is in excellent condition, minor ding in the rear bumper and the stock clutch is starting to slip so I told him I would throw in a new ACT before selling and get the tune tweaked after adding a woodruff key in the cam.

I would really like to get $15k out of it but does that sound crazy? It is a 10+ year old car, but it is in awesome shape and has a fairly unique setup that makes it a real fun car. Please give me an opinion.

And please no PM's about parting out the kit. I am not parting out the kit. I am not parting out the kit. I am not parting out the kit.

This guy will probably drive the piss out of it and beat it up good, but I don't care. I took real good care of an MR2 Turbo and sold it to a kid who totally riced it out and that killed me so I have learned not to care when you turn over the keys.

Even its going to a friend I think $15 for that car is a little low, I was thinking high teens 18-19 assuming clean title etc.

Really? I will take less from him than I would from a private buyer off the street but I kind of want to know what I can get so I can justify what I am asking and not look like I am trying to take a friend for a ride. If it were really worth that much, $16-$17k would be fine by me.

Does anyone realistically know what an S2000 is that is a stock NA say 2001 with 37,000? I have seen some people asking what I think is outrageous but I am led to understand that used car prices are silly right now and lots of times the NADA blue book can be low. My MR2 depreciated for a long time and then when they stopped making them and people wanted to buy them and modify, the values went back up. Don't know if any of that is happening with S2000's

I saw a listing for a 2001 with 70k on it and the dealer was asking $17k and I thought, maybe $12k. But I have no idea if I know what I am talking about.

Around Toronto your year car with low miles like that is anywhere between 13-15k right now stock. I would think you would get more with clean mods done. Or sell him the car stock and sell your kit to Deception

Yeah I'm passively selling mine but nobody wants to buy it complete. I think im just going to keep it and work harder and make enough money to purchase another car and keep this one. 25k for 600whp and no bites lol. Oh well.

Mark is looking at selling his also. I'm not going to post a price since it up to him.

I tried to get him to part out some of it to me, but he wants to sell it as a whole. There aren't a lot of SOT kits around, so I was just going to build my own with maybe a TVS1320.
