Paxton 1200, not hitting target boost, any ideas?
So I have installed sos stage 2 aftercooled kit with paxton 1200 blower ang I'm getting like only ~8psi near the redline, thought I could get something like 10-11psi (according to sos table), sea level is approx 13 ft, IAT at wot (stock heat exchanger) is like 100-130, doubt I have belt slippage or leak around blower and aftercooler and I'm wondering can boost level somehow depends on timing/fuel? When we started etune with Evans Tuning I hit 9psi but it was pretty cold day, now it's only 8psi max, I even considering put 3.4 pulley to get some midrange juice (it's only 3-4 psi right now there)..any input will be greatly appreciated!
Argh!! that explains my problems! i had what I thought was a ~12psi pulley(old chart) but making only 9.2 psi. i was racking my brain trying to tighten the belt and looking for boost leaks(which I found no problems with either). So it turns out that I only had a 10psi pulley. Sucks if I hafta fork out for a smaller pulley and another tune if I want to get to what I originally desired.
I have a 08 and i hit 8-9 with my 4.2" pulley
