Hi,

I will prob get flamed for asking this, but how does a standard Comptech installed S2K compare to an standard E46 M3? I understand they would both be producing similar BHP, has anyone experince of this ?

Thanks,

i dont know about the non-aftercooled comptech... but a vortech'd S2K will be slightly quicker than an E46 M3, up to the end of 4th gear...

I have a friend with a 6MT E46 M3 which is bone stock down to the factory air filter. My CT is on stock boost. Runs from 20 (1st) or 40 (2nd) to 120 have been neck and neck, run after run. The advantage went to whomever jumped first. We even switched cars a few times, no significant difference. We also both agreed that neither car is all that fast. That is to say, they move pretty good, but nothing to write home about.

This is one case where the reported traps of the two cars seem to translate into real world experience. Of course, this is my experience, YMMV.

This is a pretty good description of the advantage..

I was only able to race 3 E46 M3's. One of them was a convertible that I put a car and a half on by 110 before he quit.... The other two were not set up runs so it was just who ever got the jump first. Both times they waited for me to jump and both times they were not able to close the gap.

you should ask s4play. see if he posts. he has both cars and he's going to s/c his s2k.

i'm also planning to get the comptech s/c for my s2k but that may not be very soon. still looking for the best price

should be interesting the m3 is so much easier to launch i have to say haha
