Default Performance gains w/ SC @ 350RWHP

Hi guys,

I'm interested in bringing my S2000 up to 350RWHP... can anyone at that level, or near it chime in on what their 0-60 time has dropped to and if there is any issue with traction, or not because of the low amount of torque and the LSD?

How does the weight difference of an S2000 w/ 350RWHP stack up on the highway against say a BMW M6 or a Mercedes SL55?

Those are 4300LB+ cars, and the S2000 is 2850~...

Thanks

4.3 seconds, Just make sure you change your boost fluid regularly. Ask the people at valvoline if you can't find where to change it. Its tough to find sometimes.

Boost fluid for a SC? As far as i know the comptech and Vortech are already setup to tap the stock oil supply and just with regular oil change intervals you should be fine. If im wrong, what is boost fluid then?

4.3 seconds...I doubt it. That would imply you are a good bit faster then a viper and a viper would EAT a 350rwhp s2000 alive.

I'd say low 5 seconds on average considering the stock 0-60 is ~5.5 seconds.

Too many variables. A turbocharged car will be quicker at the same peak power level because boost comes on sooner than with a centrifigual blower. Since the stock car has enough power to spin the rear wheels any time you are cornering in first or second gear (and in VTEC) traction can obviously be an issue when the power is increased, but since the throttle isn't an on/off switch it's not really an issue (as long as you drive with a little finesse).

Are you considering a turbo, or a belt driven supercharger?
The stock injectors won't deliver enough fuel to make 350 WHP so you're going to need more than just an FI kit to get there.

How are you planning to use the car? Drag racing? Track? Autocross?
Street racing?

Is the 0-60 time all you really care about?

since i had a 355whp SC before, I can provide some good numbers. It will not be 4.3. There is no way the traction will let you do it. It'll be like 4.9 max. I raced a C55 from 5mph and I got him by a fender. Since that car does like 4.9-5.0 seconds to 60, your's will be like that too.

You won't be able to handle with a SL55 or an M6, but you'll be close with the SL55. Your 1/4 time will be 12.7 - 12.8 with a good launch (with a 2.0 60ft)

I use Mobile one Boost Max in my car. The valve for increase is hard to get to on my setup but worth it since fresh boost fluid can add 10-20hp to a tired turbo.

uh guys...don't forget to change out your blinker fluid; instant 5hp that only costs a few dollars a quart!
