Default pfab log with tial 38?

So I was hooking up my ebc yesterday, greddy profec b and I get underneath the car to put the pressure line on the wastegate. I have never turboed a car before so I wasn't exactly sure how this worked. Anyways the previous owner of the turbo kit had this setup on his AP2 with a manual boost controller which I also have. I received the wastegate with the banjo fitting on the side location and an open hole (threaded) on the top of the wastegate. will it work like this? Because I read up on tials site and they say u have to put a banjo on the top hole as well. Problem is, there is maybe half an inch clearance between the tial and my motor mount. Wtf? So what should I do? I really didn't want to have to pull the turbo off again

Put the top banjo on the wastegate first before installing on to the manifold.

I think the 38mm is shorter than the 44mm so theres more room to work with.

Could I just use a npt right angle barb fitting instead of the banjo fitting so I don't hav to wait for shipping? It would probably be shallower too.

Just for future reference, the ports are not npt. It is a 10mm x 1.0 i believe. But, the original banjo fitting would not clear in my case.

I ended up re-tapping the top of the wastegate to 1/8th npt, buying a right angle hose fitting, cutting half the thread off (to ensure it doesnt touch the diaphram), and sealing it up with permatex.

I'm not sure how any of you guys with an ap1, pfab log, and tial 38mm get this to work. Even with my modification, I probably only have about 1/8th", so I'm still worried about it hitting the mount with engine movement.

It would clear the mount no problem if it wasn't for this little raised square on the top of the engine mount right beneath the wastegate. I'm not sure what this is for, but its in the way.

If anyone has pictures of their setup that fits, I'm just curious as to whats different. I don't think I'll have any problems, but it just seems weird to me.
Questions/ suggestions?

,thanks
