Default Pic request: Turbo oil return line

Does anyone with a Revhard or Inline Pro kit have a picture of their oil return line? I am trying to get an idea of the correct location of the oil pan the needs to be tapped, as well as the shape of the return line. Thanks.

This is disaster waiting to happen. You should not "T" off the block like that. The vibrations could cause the block fitting to break starving your turbo then your motor of oil. I recommend you run a line from the block to a 3 or 4 way manifold mounted on the side member. From there you can run all the lines and sensors you want without stressing the block fitting.

Here's my setup

Yes.
I would never do it that way.

No that is not tapped on the block. That's tapped on the skirt that hold the crank in place, which inturn gets bolted to the block. While being a better place for return, it's sucks for collecting metal chips from drilling and really sucks if you go back to stock.

I've been debating w/ myself about whether to tap the girdle or the oil pan for the return on my upcoming turbo install. Inline recommends the girdle, but the oil pan would certainly be easier for a number of reasons. Anyone have any problems using the oil pan for their return?

The girdle is the best location if you autocross or track your car. With high g left turns, if you tap the pan, the oil could back up the return line and cause the turbo bearing to coke up, leading to a failed turbo. If you don't autocross or track, then the oil pan is OK. If you tap the girdle and then return your car to NA, just cap the return tap. No big deal.
