Picking up my car this week...questions ?

If he is not local to you or even if he is...i would want to know if he will etune if something changes either in your set up or conditions. For instance, if car starts running lean or rich, will he look at data logs you make and make adjustments to the tune and send you back the file to upload? Usually not a big deal, but if the tuner is not close....
Ironic I just got a call from the shop doing my car and they said I could run some data logs and send to them for review....but since I'm first timer, never ran the software or hooked up computer to my car so I'm not sure what the hell I'd be capable of doing yet.
Should I ask the tuner to give me the AEM II software in case ? What other things should I ask him about running diagnostics on my car from afar IF I were to run into any issues ?
The shop said the tunner would take my car and drive it for a few days under various conditions to make sure it's good to go as he knows I'm 2 hrs away....said they would take care of me but shit happens so I'd like to be prepared in advance rather then hope nothing happens.
FYI I'd like to learn to do some work on my car but I don't have much experience, lifts or tools...but got the space, time, etc...thanks.
