Default Piston Compression ratio

guys,
I am in the market for the pistons to run the turbo. Couple questions to learn...

1) What is a good piston to use for turbo or suppercharger?

2) What is the compression ratio is use in general or most people would choose?

3) Connecting Rods?

4) AEM ( stand alone manage system)
What is the best set up with if the money is not an issue?

Thank you very much

D

Can't say much on the pistons and connecting rods, but I will say if money is not an issue for an EMS then something like a Motec system would be what I would look into.

Keep in mind though, that you can buy the greatest EMS out there, but if you can't find someone to tune it, it's worthless. If you do decide to get something other than the AEM system, make sure that you research tuners before you make your decision.

Thanks for your responds,

Piston at 9:1 ratio you have to boost higher than
the 9.5: 1 an 10:1
is lower compression piston has less material on the piston?

AEM:
I don't think there is any Motec tuner in my area. I am from Connecticut.

Thanks

don't forget that if you get aftermarket pistons, you HAVE to resleeve your motor.

Something to consider - Laskey Racing Engine Build. He uses CP Piston & Rings, Pauter Rods, and Benson Sleeves!

He is who built my motor, still in process of putting everything back together. I finalized (including my Alaniz head build) with a 9.2:1 final compression ratio.
