Default Plans to Go Stroked and Boosted.

Hi guys its about that time that i start my turbo project. I curently have a AP1 im trying to boost and make well over 600+rwhp. I want to stroke the motor. I currently have a great deal on a f20c. I want to go possibly F24c. Would boring a f20c to a f24c be wise. Or should i try and find a f22c block and start from there? All input is welcome. Thanks.

Btoh the f20 and f22 have the same shortblock, doesn't matter which you start with. I know inline has a 2.5 stroker kit, makes for good power and good torque gains. The stroker kit, to my knowledge utilizes the same shortblock.

Just be prepared to turn the RPM down. I wouldnt go 2.4 turbo for nothing, but thats just me.
You can EASILY hit your power goals with a 2.2, and still spin 82, or 8500 all day long.
Youll have traction issues beyond reality, and if you go bigger crank, that will simply get worse.
I say build a bulletproof 2.2 setup ,and if you need a tad more, spray on it.
Ill shake your hand if you can get used to a 6-800 whp s2k on the street. Im not joking.

Well thats what i was thinking also to just do a 2.2. But i heard that my goals will be easier to hit with the 2.4. But i orginally wanted to do a 2.2. Do you think 800+ on high boost is possible on a 2.2?

Also its gonna take me a while to get used to. The fastest car ive driven consitantly is about 400rwhp lol

Talk to InlinePro and do the 2.5L if you really want that much power. The only thing about going over 600hp is it really going to get less streetable and reliable, plus it's going to cost a whole lot more because you will need a lot of supporting mods to help your car hold up to that type power.

Goood luck

Between the 2.2 and 2.4 you dont lose much ability to rev as long as the stroke is the same. If you want a little more power lower down and dont mind losing some revs, get the 2.4L.

dont forget $10,000 dollars you will have to pay for a PPG gear kit for your tranny if you plan on running 650+ hp
