Ill try and find some current pics...

They think the problem has to do with vtec and are thinking of a way to get rid of it, which i dont think is the best idea... i mean can you even get rid of vtec even if you wanted to?? I just want to get some info or ideas for when i go back and talk to them later today. It looks like at 5psi we are just out of the efficiancy range for the turbo

I think you found your problem...the tuner...

First off turning off VTEC is as simple as disabling it in the programming. Second if they disable it no way in hell are you going to produce any significant power/numbers

Try and find another respectable tuner in the area

I bet that's another problem the OP is facing.. not many tuners will tune on piggy back systems like FIC or Emanage.. so he probably don't have a lot of choice.

how are you controlling your boost level? manual controller or can FIC control it?

The Tial wastegate has the 5.25 psi spring in it right now which is keeping it at around 5psi, the FIC seems to be going well, the car is running smoothly, and going into boost very smoothly as well, we just have no power lol

boost leak im guessing. When you start to boost at 5lbs you stated that you lose power and i see it in the dyno. I think you have boost leak somewhere. also what injectors you running? you can run 9lbs of boost and be ok. you should get a boost controller or a bigger spring. Also keep inmind that when you run only off the spring that you will never get what the spring is rated at.. So.. if you have a 5lb spring , you will get like 3-4 lbs of boost . If you run off a 10lbs spring, you will get around 8lbs of boost. So its hard to see you getting 5lbs of boost with a 5lbs spring. What is your fuel duty cycle at? Your dyno should keep climbing not drop off. You should be in boost threw your topend, not just down low. You will see a lil curve when the vtec kicks in but that can be tuned out alil. My vtec was i think set at 5800 ( ap2 ). You need to get a boost gauge also. Iv also seen when someone put the wastgate on they didnt put the ring under it when mounting on the manifold. That will for sure make your car do what its doing... loosing boost. Get a new tuner. have them do a boost leak test and a new tune. Also change your spring to a 10lb spring or get a boost controller with your 5lbs one. cheaper for a spring tho. (spring - $22.00) ( boost con- $100.00)

Pics of the almost complete set up, still have a few more heat shields and an airbox to be built.

Ahhh anyone notice the intake?
would that cause a boost leak?

In all seriousness do what Tony M14 suggests above.

Also I really like that manifold, cool idea. How heavy is it?

thanks for all the info tony, i appreciate it. I have a boost guage and wideband, boost guage shows pretty consistant 4-5 psi boost level. where would a boost leak most likely come from?
