I'm having issues getting my modifry ect to work...I haven't gotten it to work since I got in back in sept.
I followed all troubleshooting steps from 1-4. When I read the voltage it was strange with engine off ingnition on my temps in the 170-185 range I was reading in the 800- 900's millivolts, when it should be reading 450-600. When I started the car it would shoot up into the thousands like 2000millivolts.
Seems like a lot of guys have had issues with this, I am determined to make this damn thing work!
According to Mofirfy it sounds like the biggest issues are with Ground Loops, but if I had a GL wouldn't it change as I turned on and off other electronics?
I'm also wondering about the grounding point. It looks like there may be conflicting info on the site that it should be grounded to where the EMS is grounded or the Hood release bolt. Lastly, I was thinking if it is a ground loop, why not just run a ground from the battery to it? At least for testing?

i am having issues with mine and was hoping yours was the same, sadly no i am not getting any reading on the dash the led flashes etc but no temp on dash, have u contected bob ?
I did get lights on the bar when I did the test number 2 or 3 in his troubleshooting.
I sent him an email but haven't heard back. It's so annoying I just want this thing to work.
Where did you ground yours too? I'm also thinking about terminaling into it to try and reprogram.
yeah once in a blue moon i had the second bar come up, i did contact bob and said about sending back to him, he would re programe
he did mention if ou try to reprograme using a usb to serial it sometimes wont recognise it, and not work, u need a proper serial to serial
i grounded it to the old ecu bolt as stated
did the check to get hot and cold etc worked but now when it runs nothing
so i think i will end up sending back for a reprograme

hmm glad to hear I'm not the only one...the instructions are off....in one area they say to ground to the ecu bolts and in another area it says to ground to the hood release mounting bolt.
I will try to ground to the ecu bolts if that doesn't work I'm going to send it back

Typically for an ECU, you want to have similar ground points so the reference ground is the same.
