With a basic S/C kit you'll be about a second faster in the 1/4 mile.so YES you will notice the difference.

peace
No way a stock 'charger brings a second less quarter-mile time. It's probably more like .7 seconds.

Actually, it's much easier to launch NA than sc'd. So, until some practice is performed, it may be less. Trap speed will be good, but overall time increases take more than just power.

For the record, I suck at dragging, therefore I don't do it.

I'm saying that it would be difficult to buy a good, used, complete sc'er(w/AC if CTSC- Vortech comes with it), pay to have it installed, and then dyno'd just to be sure it wasn't running too lean for $4k.
On a related note, I often read posts concerning the Vortech SCs running too lean, but I don't recall seeing much about the issue with the Comptech kits. Are they both equally likely to run lean out of the box?

Your clutch will go. Maybe not immediately, but at some point it will. Remember, too, that you will be incurring add'l expenses simply because the car is starting to get some miles on it, regardless if it's a Honda. The added power will accelerate some of that normal wear...

I can attest that you should budget $8-10K to get it all done particularly if you add an EMS.

I'd definitely do it again if I had a do over.

Vortech did have the tendency to run lean, not the lone factor, but a contributing one as to why it puts out more power than the CTSC stock-for-stock. They have a replacement diaphragm that one can replace in the FMU(12:1) that helps reduce the leaner condition.

Comptech, out-of-the-box, does not exhibit this tendency. Using the 7# pulley does.

8-10K???????????????????????????/

assume your talking for a beefed up maximized set up. not for a full straight forward stock SC comptech set up?

or you saying by the time the kit is bought, installed, dyno, possible new clutch, ems and some decent tweaking to max out the performance 8+K?

6,200 is not small change, I would like your honest input on the cars performamnce now...... clearly stock we run close to 350z, g35,s, wrx's, mustangs, srt's etc..... Well aware SC does little on 0-60 times which I could care less about to be honest. Now before someone trounces me here on the cars I noted I said we run close I did not say a s2k was faster or slower just listing some cars that the honda is in the same league with stock for stock.... with the addition of a straight forward SC kit what can one expect from their car? Thanks...
