Default possible blown motor

Ok

worst possible thing has happened tonight.

driving and noticed some power loss, looked down and saw that the car had shut off (all the little dash lights kicked on) so i tried to crank it while coasting... crank... crank... crank... it wouldn't catch, so i proceeded to glide my way to the side of the road.

parked.. I tried to crank it again, it crank....crank....crank...crank...crank... and wouldn't catch

tried a few more times... noticed that it started to smell like gas, so i popped the hood and looked for any signs of leaks, there were no signs of any leaks at all..
I could not smell any gas from the engine bay which i thought was kinda strange cause i distinctively smelled gas in the cabin.

i then proceed to check oil, oil cap, radiator fluid, turbo, piping and it all looked dandy.

got back in the car.. tried to crank it a couple more times and then it happened.

i hit the push button.. crank..crank.. THUNK*

Im thinking thats not right, hit the push button once more and crank...crank...THUNK*

sounds like something has seized in the engine bay. or possibly turbine.

Any idea on what it could be? blown motor? head? piston?

there is no cel

Wouldn't a blown motor atleast throw a cel?

setup: Greddy turbo kit on 2007 DBW running greddy ultimate.

Thanks in advance

could have ran it low on oil and spun a bearing. or crankwalk. a blown turbo, even siezed, would still allow the car to run, just not boost.

if he makes a video, he could be doing more damage to the motor. pull the plugs, look at them. drain the oil, maybe even drop the pan and look for debri.

good luck.

What clutch are you running? It sounds like crank walk and the rod getting locked up as the crank moves into a binding position.

Get it home and drain the oil for inspection, and check the plugs is the first thing to do.
