Default Possible to lower exhaust volume without a retune?

I've got a 2002 S2k that I picked up this weekend with the mods listed below. I'm still researching the engine management, SC, etc so I'm basically a total noob to Honda FI.

Right now the exhaust is really loud and I'd like to find a way to quiet it down some without having to go through a retune right away. Is this possible?

I have the stock cat, but I don't want to put that in if it will screw up the A/F ratio and cause badness. Would silencers for the Tanabes be the way to go? Different mufflers? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Stuff on the car:
Vortech SC
AEM EMS
Comptech headers
Unknown test pipe
Tanabe Racing Super Medalions

If you changed the tune to dump a bunch more fuel and run super rich, that'd quieten it down for sure. It'd run crappy though.

I vote silencers.

you can put the stock exhaust back on. a lot of people run it like that with FI. people practically give theirs away.
there are a few guys from WI on the FI board here who could help you find a tuner etc.

ditch the test pipe in favor of either a resonated test pipe or berk/asura HFC.

orrrr

go with t1r EM dual exhaust. i read its the quietest.

orrrr

get a couple dynomax bullet mullfers welded in line

orrrrrr

stock exhaust which may richen/lean tune slightly if anything at all.

Yeah, and it goes to 11. The problem is that it is stuck there

Thanks for all the responses!

I think you should leave everything and just put an OEM in place of the Tanabe.

oem exhaust... or cut the oem from the axleback and put a reducer to taper to the 3" from the DP.

This is what I'd like to do if the stockers will bolt up
