Default POSSIBLY FRIED AEM EMS?

Ok so a few nights back i had a real fun time in the S and when i got back home everything seemed normal.

We went snowboarding the next day, and when we returned, i noticed ALOT of coolant on the garage floor leading to my turbo...

Turns out one of the coolant hoses burst but since i was right around the corner from my house, nothing really leaked anywhere but on my property(hooray!)

So we cut the lines off the turbo to loop them together so i can drive to my work and get SS lines put on....

We loop the lines and reconnect the intake, put the battery back on and hook up the terminals(Battery is a PC680) but in doing so, I forgot to pull the keys from the ignition.

When we attempted to put the ground on(it's really hard to get the terminals locked down in the position i have it)but everytime we tried putting the terminal on, it would spark and keep kicking on the fuel pump, probly like 10 times.

It didn't start.

We pulled the plugs,(soaked with fuel) so i changed them. Still no start, the car cranks over but doesn't fire.

I have gotten to the point of checking ALL fuses in the engine bay and none of them are blown. I HAVEN'T checked the fuses under the dash

DO I NEED TO? ARE THERE FUSES UNDER THE DASH THAT MAY HAVE BLOWN TO CAUSE THE CAR TO NOT START?

I am also unfortunately looking into the EMS possibly being fried, but i don't know. IS IT POSSIBLE? I appreciate any and ALL people who will comment, but please don't tell me it could be possible if you don't know. I'm really stressing on this since a new EMS is like $1500.00

I will check the fuses under the dash tonight and will also test each coil pack w/plug outside of the motor to ensure spark is getting to the engine, becaus ei know for a fact that fuel is, and the compression is DEAD on.

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED, THANKS FOR LOOKING!!!

it seems like its flooded and thats why its not starting. try a different set of plugs if that doesnt work. check the plugs again if they are still drenched then take out all 4 plugs pull the ecu fuse in the top left corner of the fuse box (blue 15amp fuse) then crank the car to get all the fuel out then put some dry plugs in and try to start it again. dont stress now, its not worth it. give that stuff a try and let us know how it goes

Well we initially pulled the first set of plugs, they were soaked.

So we let the car sit over night with the plugs out of the motor so i'm pretty sure the fuel had evaporated at that point.

I put a NEW set of plugs in just like 2 hours ago to see if it would start, and still nothing. I checked ALL fuses in the engine bay, BUT NOT THE FUSES UNDER THE DASH. Is that where the ECU fuse is? Under the dash?

Thanks Rob, I appreciate your input GREATLY!

Hook up a laptop and turn the ignition on. If you can connect to the ECU I doubt it's fried.

And check the fuses under the dash. There's some there that can blow and stop you starting. Like the IGN one.

Ok so the car started on a STOCK ECU(barely) and ran PIG rich for a second so the EMS is broken somewhere.

I'm getting an RGA warranty # from AEM to get it handled. It was most likely a transistor inside the ECU, but i'm not gonna break the seal to find out for sure.

The car wasn't flooded, it just wouldn't spark. We tried getting spark on an outside ground hooking the plug to the coil and nothing.

But again, the stock ECU allowed it to fire up just fine even on 750CC injectors, so AEM is going to handle this for me hopefully...

THANKS AGAIN FELLOW F/I S2KI BUDDIES!!!

^ that's the same thing that happened to my 1012 before I bought my 1052. Turned out to be a $50 fix on it btw.

Yeah Will that's what i'm hoping. If AEM won't warranty it I'll have to pay for them to fix it.

It's like ONE month out of warranty, but we buy SO MUCH AEM stuff that i'm hoping they will good-will it for me.

They've taken care of us in the past so now shouldn't be any different.

I'll let you guys know the exact problem when i get my ECU back from them.

did you have a 1012?

Funny how I mentioned it to Will long ago about the 1012 having driver issues.
