Default Potential for these cars?

Hey folks,

I was wondering what would be the limit of these cars using forced induction with the right parts in it (forged internals, new clutch, new rear axles?....anything else?). I'm not too familiar with modding S2k's, was looking more into domestics so I don't know where the S2k's weaknesses lie.

I know Cybernation Motorsports has an RSX that puts down over 475wHP, on pump gas to boot. Would these S2k's be able to duplicate if not surpass these numbers with a proper set-up? They are supposedly coming out with a kit for the S2k, but they've been saying that for over a year now and still no word ....

The sky is the limit... or your wallet.

Someone has a 500+ hp s2k out there somewhere, there's a magazine with a 800hp one.

If you got the money you can do it.

The question is, should you?

That 800+hp S2000 is bull-ing-shit...

your wallet is the limit and octane/quality of gas at your local pump or drums

Maybe it's a lot harder than they thought it would be? I could probably get 500 HP out of my gramma's shopping cart if I spent enough money, but putting out a kit for an S2000 is all talk till it happens. Be selective in whose "talk" you want to believe.

Well, according to them, they wanted to focus on the RSX first because that's where they feel the market will be the largest. Who knows tho, like you said....talk is cheap....

Very good point here, and onto my second question. What do you believe IS the limit on 93 oct. with a good tune (it really is all in the tune). Procharger supposedly has a 1000HP+ truck running around on 93! It's somewhere on their website if you dig around. It's probably a supercharger the size of a small child tho and the power curve is probably as peaky as .... something really peaky ... but it's still 1000HP. I think ~500rwHP would be enough to take on Enzo's and Carrera GT's from a roll....no?

510@18psi is the highest I have seen on pump. http://www.full-race.com/images/gallery/s2k/ Don't know how well it all holds up but I am going for around 350 or so and my car is in AZ at Full-Race currently.

500 whp on pump is a reasonable goal for occasional usage. We've seen several S2000's well in excess of 400 whp with no internal upgrades short of a compression reduction (headgasket, opening up combustion chamber, etc.)
