Ask a poor question, get a poor answer.

Better question is how much hp can the stock block handle?

Even better question might be how much torque can the stock block handle?

There's people making over 800whp on the stock block, LESS boost is better, shoot to make as much power as you can with as little boost as possible.

I personally think 500whp is the safe limit for a stock block to be driven as something like a daily driver. The diff is only good for 450-500whp in my opinion thus it's IMO bad practice to be pushing more than that anyway.

Now you say you wish to run Q16 fuel, that's all well and good, though there's much more financially reasonable options than Q16 honestly if this is going to be driven regularly.

What's the application? Is this a track car only? If it's going to be driven regularly, consider a E85 setup and shoot for 450-500whp, hell, regardless I'd probably head that direction.

I have a full blown 8.8 rear end. I was asking a general question for a general answer. I made 425 on 93. My goal is 500. I drive the car about 2-3 times a week. But not daily. Q16 isn't a big deal on cost. But most are steering me toward e85. So I'll have to upgrade fuel. The only thing I don't like about e85 is the alcohol in it and supposedly it can rot lines and do damage if it sits over winter. And I have an aem ems 2 so I don't have a flex fuel type sensor like with a haltech.

Now that I know 500 is a safe number for e85. The question is what BS is this e85 trip gonna cause me as far as problems go.

And since everyone wants me to be so specific. I plan to run boost by gear so that I dont rip out 1st or 2nd. Cause I know I'll get another batman to tell me that I'll need a supra tranny at 500.

The main thing was. I was unsure of how far I can go (hoped for 500) for a reliable power level with just springs and retainers. I was unsure if studs were a must for 500 and e85

You will be fine at 500whp so long as you maintain the car properly

Have you not been keeping up with this motor? There is no limit. The possibilities are endless
