i personally like the other side of the coin. ADD MORE POWER
Adding more power is always a good thing for acceleration; however, cutting weight will improve not only acceleration, but handling, braking, etc..

i got a set of 10lb CE28n's in 16 inch that helped me alot. I threw out the spare, tools etc but couldn't tell the difference with that. To be honest, its gotten to the point where acceleration all feels fast. If you want to keep some of the luxuries (thats sounds like an oxymoron in this car) its pretty tough to remove stuff that doesn't make it annoying to drive it as a DD.

I'm looking for a DD right now (probably end up with a 06-08 STi) and then my S2000 will be for track/autox only... even then, I don't think I'll be stripping it.

A typical turbocharged V-8 diesel engine might have an engine power of 250 horsepower
The only thing I have to add here, is that a turbo diesel V8 making 250hp is about the most pathetic thing on the planet.

Actually, TD's typically make low horsepower, but they make tremendous amounts of torque at very low RPMs. The first series of Chevy Duramax turbo diesel engines only made 200 horsepower, but they produced almost 600 ft lbs of torque at 2200 RPM!

I remember when I did my stereo install I took a ride with the passenger side of the car stripped. My only power mods are gutted intake with K&N and resonated test pipe on the stock exhaust. Hole e shit.

I can't imagine what a completely stripped car sounds like. Add FI on top of that, it would make you completely deaf in NO TIME.

Of course they make low HP, but 250 HP for a diesel V8 is crap.

Ford's powerstroke makes 350hp and 650ft lbs
Chevy's duramax makes 365hp and 660ft lbs
