PPG Synchro Box - Better than you thought?

I'll start off by saying I really enjoyed your content and appreciate the info. It's not often that you see people dedicated to sharing legitimate solid information on this platform anymore. This kind of stuff only helps to keep the car interesting.
Speaking from someone who was highly interested in this being available again (I have been in contact with Tom Perham from PPG for a while now) I am disappointed in the pricing. I like many others am willing to spend a good amount of money for a reliable transmission, as all other options available are 4k plus no matter what route you go. Is there a reason this kit is so much higher than the helical K series offerings from PPG? If you were to break down the fact that the K set comes with 4 gears and apply that pricing to all 6 for the S and the gear reduction set, that should put you around $5900. I think people would more likely bite at that price point.
I could see this being a justifiable choice if the car was for racing purposes only, and maybe that is was PPG is aiming for but for the average S2000 owner making some power I don't see this selling well.

that is not really a strong argument. You have to realize that most people that own these cars are not in the same income class as someone who owns a GTR. You have a few very well of people that own a s2k because of the experience but thats not a representation for the whole community.

I dont own a gtr, i have however had a PPG syncro turbo s2000 and a CD009 turbo s2000. Do you know what makes people hate their cars? bad driving experiences. do you know what it like going from a PPG synchro to cd009? I do, ANYONE else? nope. save the money and get the ppg syncrho or your gonna be selling the cd009 or car shortly there after if you like to DD/sunday drive it. I ONLY RACE mine, so its not a deal breaker for me.
