Smile Precision Turbo...WTF?

I have to vent. It's been 3months since my installer took my car. About 7 weeks since the turbo went bad. And all the time in between waiting for a new turbo. Apparently they need to inspect it to see if it can be remanufactured. If it can be they do that and send it back. If it can't they grab a new one off the shelf and send it my way. WTF why is this taking so long?!?!?!?!?!?

Anyone dealt with them before? I am seriously pissed off by now.

I had some issues with mine blowing oil past the seals, but I have not had to deal with them directly. My ball bearing turbo only had about ~3500 miles on it too.

I hear they will do everything possible to deny warranty claims.

Thankfully I got mine through InlinePRO and John and Ya are taking care of me.

You have the worst luck with that install.

Matt, the "only" thing that has gone wrong on your turbo install is the turbo. Maybe it's just me, but for being the "only" thing that has gone wrong, it seems to be a big part.

Crap, are all of these Precision turbos bad? The ball bearing turbos from Inline use Garrett cores with Precision housings, put together by precision. Kleecker's turbo also locked up....

It has me slightly concerned...

Jonathan, it's the main component, but seriously, everything except for the TSA confiscating my oil filter relocation kit has gone very well... You know there's a lot more to turbocharging than a snail...

The TSA confiscated your filter kit? That's funny. My wife can get on with a knife in her carry on, but "Der'll be NO oil kit on der plane das Ferline!!" Was it in Portland?
