Priming the car before starting up after---
Hey, I pulled my turbo two weeks ago and my car will be sitting another week before I put the turbo on and fill it with oil, there is some residual oil I would imagine within the Turbo so should i prime the car before I start it up?
best way to prime? Pull the fuse for the fuel pump and crank it a few times? |
my shit sat for 3 months almost with no oil while i was waiting on parts. just put everything on and fill it with water and oil and crank it up and drive it
Pull the plugs and disconnect the injectors and crank for about 20 seconds or until you read oil pressure(if you have a gauge).
Much easier to pull the EFI and Fuel pump fuse and then crank until you get oil pressure
You got it right pull the pump fuse and role it over several times
thanks, whats EFI?
i just pull the coil packs

EFI = Electronic Fuel Injection, none other than the fuel pump |
ok, so pull EFI & Ignition Fuses, then crank for 10 seconds or so?
