Default Problems building boost

Ok, so while I was at the dyno my tuner noticed that some pulls wouldn't build more than 6psi of boost. When it builds 10psi the car puts down good numbers. My tuner fogged my coldside of the turbo kit and found no leaks. The problem seemed to have went away. I drove it for a couple days and it was fine, then it started building only 7psi. I adjusted the boost controller and it would not build any more. I then tried going straight from the boost source to the wastegate, as the spring was supposed to be 10psi, and only built like 5 psi. I had a used Turbosmart Street wastegate and thought that might be the problem. Well, I swapped it out with a NEW Turbosmart Ultra Gate 38mm and still have the same problem. I ended up parking the S in the garage out of frustration. Anyone have any ideas??

Sounds like a problem with a leak in the IC system. I would highly recomend leak testing all the connections.

Also make sure that when you install the Ultragate you also installed the seat which is a small ring that looks like a V-Band flange.

Yeah, I installed the seat. My tuner tested my intercooler pipes with a fogger system, but it would only build like 1-2psi. I guess I will have to tear into all connections and see what the problem is. Just frustrating.

The easy way to test is to cap off the discharge pipe with a PVC pipe cap. Then I use another pipe cap on the throttle body side and install a tire valve stem in it so that I can pressurize the system. Then using a standard tire pressure gauge you can check the initial pressure (I tested at 30 PSI) and after 10-15 and see if it has dropped. With the problems you are having if you have a leak it should be very evident.

Here is one example of one fitting I made
