Default Profec 01

Anybody know how to set the boost on the profec e01. I'm looking for some base #'s or a way to figure out what to put in.

Most likely I'll ditch this thing because so far I could not get the boost right.

Yea the unit was a pain to get right. Try messing around with the duty cycle. That's how I got the best results when messing with the boost. Start low and work your way up until you get the desired boost level.

Well, how do I know the set value is correct?

I also let the profec auto learn but it never reaches the desired boost level

Yeah, I found the autolearn function was useless. The duty cycle is a whole lot of guess and check. I set it to 10% then drove around, moved it up to 20% drove. I kept doing it until I got the desired boost level.

Haha there isnt a real scientific way of doing it. At least none that worked for me.

Werd, engine stand is waiting for you! And if you know anyone that needs a hoist refer them to me!

i called up Greddy on the east coast and they were totally useless. They guy did not want to even give me guidelines on how to set the boost because Greddy is not responsible if I blow the engine. So I'm like" I'm not asking you to tune my car or set the boost for me. All I want is some background information on the set and gain values.

So i got the following info:

Set= This is the percentage boost increase over stock boost running off the spring.

However, this doesnt make sense. If I use a 7psi spring and want to plug in 20 as the percentage incrase, that only comes out to be a 1.4 boost incrase totalling 8.4psi

So lets say I want to boost 25psi, to get me to that value I have to use a percentage well higher than 100% to come up to 25psi total. However, the profec only goes to a 100 Set value.

Gain= This value controls underboosting or boost spikes. This value should be set at 10. And only changed between 5-15 if any of the 2 conditions above are present.

START boost = set this value to 2psi less than desired max boost.
But yet the manual does say on this one to set it to 2.8 less.
