looks bad ass, but am i the only one that thinks a super efficient fmic is really gonna effect air intake temps the most. i use to mess with all this cold air induction stuff and finnaly realized, just make sure fmic is effective, and everything else is moot.

no offense to the ptuning guys, they make bad ass stuff, just not sold on how much this will help. my turbo sucks in hot air from the fender, my iat sensor is in the intake mani stock location, AKA THE OVEN, and i see 10-15ish degrees over amibient cruising, and maybe a 5or so degree climb at wot. its all about the FMIC. now at idle sitting still, sure it climbs, damn near climbs to 130-140, but once i start moving, back to 10-15 over ambient.

fwiw. anywho, great looking product.

Thanks for your input and feedback. I agree, having an efficeint intercooler setup is critical but with the same intercooler setup, you can only gain from drawing in cooler air from outside the engine bay vs the heated air that was used to cool the radiator/intercooler.

I have never seen 10 degrees over outside temp on kpro with stock sensor. 90 degrees outside I am lucky to see 115 on the interstate with a precision 750hp intercooler. It could be 50 outside but there is no way I would see 70 degree iat. I am typically seeing 25-30 over ambient. I agree that if this lowers air temp drawn into turbo by 20-30 degrees it should help the efficiency of the intercooler by lowering the delta t of the intercooler air.

There's a reason why every car that comes from the factory with a turbo tries to pull air from the coolest source possible.

We did Preliminary testing of the Air Box last night. Everyone keep an eye out for our testing results on the air box next week.

Thanks Drew.
