I just recently purchased a used ptuning kit . It came with the gtx3076r . The car will be mainly for weekend and fun. Im currently kraftwerks supercharged making 460whp. I was wondering if the gtx3582r will be more fun? i want something thatll throw me in the seat and feel fast, or will the gtx30r suffice? will be on pump gas. i kno the gtx35 will make more power on pump.

 

It really depends on how much power you want. I just down sized to a gtx3076r from a gtx3576r and I love it. My gtx3576r made 620whp on e85 and it had so much traction problems and was way to much power for the street. My gtx3076r made 588whp and spoils a little quicker and still maxes great power and still has lots of traction problems. If I were to do it again I would go with the new Garrett gtx gen 2 turbos that just came out a month ago and I would go with the generation 2 Garrett gtx3071r. It's rated for 650hp and should spool super fast since it's only a 54mm turbo.

but then again you your going to be only running 91/93octane and not high octane fuel you will be stuck at the 400-500whp level. So you won't have traction issues. The bigger turbos should make more power espiceally on low octane fuel but at the expense of spool.

 

Is the gtx even worth it on pump?

 

Probably not.
