Default Pulley belts, can get a similar belt

Hi Guys,

Looking to fit a 9psi to my CTSC.

Over in the UK the Gates/dayco exact belts sizes are difficult to get hold of. I can get hold of a belt but its 5mm too long is this a problem? or is there enough adjustment in the tensioner arm? - i just dont want belt slip

I dont want belt slip obviously.

Part note needed 6PK990
part note i can get hold of 6PK995

Cheers

PM me your address and I'll throw one in the post. I did the same for Mikey K over on your side of the pond.

5mm shouldn't be an issue at all assuming the belt you are measuring it to is correct for that pulley. Rule of thumb is to go with as large of a belt as possible without running out of adjustment, since slipping and more tension is required with the smaller pulleys, the larger belt gives you more wrap area around the pulley for better traction.
