high 12's? on a stock engine? how much boost are we talking? That's a bit extreme.
. Like I said, the S is not know for that use but with proper mods on stock motor, high 12's should be possible. Since the CT SC does not have that instant power of a turbo, you would need to launch closer to your power band, which is around 4-6K rpms and verys on how you tune your car and V-TEC setting. Anything is possible if your S is set up for that use. However, IMO with a stock set up with a bolt-on CT SC, high 12's should be out of reach
.
First off I never said I only ran a 13.8 in an STi, or an S for that matter. An S is not a drag car, so I do not intend on driving mine like that. I much rather make turns while I drive.
As for the times I listed, I was going from memory, and what I read out of several different magazines quite awhile back. With that being said, the STi was listed as a 13.1-13.8 sec car stock. And the S is listed as a low 14 sec car stock. From what I can remember reading of course. I also remember thinking that the S and STi sure feel a lot faster than that on the butt dyno while driving them. Until I see time slips proving these numbers false, I can only go by what I read concerning cars that have been "tested".
If some of you say you have hit high 13's stock and high 12's, CONSISTENTLY, then I suppose it is so.

Originally, it was a stock engine with a S/C running 6-9 psi. High 12's may be attainable, but again, without timeslips, I find it hard to believe your average Joe is going to pull off a 12 sec pass in their S with these mods. I would suspect, with 6-9psi on a stock engine, to see low-mid 13's easily. Drivers taken into consideration, I suppose it may be possible to hit high 12's, but if you can't back it up with another pull, then it's a fluke.
BTW... I have had several 14.1 sec passes in my 200whp Civic with 2.1 - 2.3 60' times on street tires of course. Not too bad for someone who can't drive.

. I only plan on doing 2-3 passes with launching my S and will post my times and video when I try. I plan on installing my 457's and CT diff before I try so give me about a month to get them done.
With my current mods, 457 gears and drag radials, I might be able to pull it off.

I ran a 13.2 at 109 in stock everything with the basic 5lb comptech kit. I had a horrible launch, and should of been in the 12's. I should be going this week to try it out once more.
. I would love to see your pass. Good luck.
