Default Question about Missing Link Vacuum LInes.

Ok here we go. About a week ago I got a CEL code for MAP sensor, I replaced it, and my car is still acting up.
My question is this. I have the Missing Link installed, and there is a vacuum line that I traced to a check valve,
there are two lines going into the check valve, but nothing coming off the end. Does anyone know where I need to
look to hook up to the open end, or is it supposed to be open?

I forgot to mention I have a comptech supercharger kit.

This is the Missing Link vacuum line coming off....

These are just a couple pics of the check valve I am talking about, with the open
end. I am concerned if this has a line that it is supposed to goto, or if it remains open.

Thanks for any input. I have not driven my car in almost two weeks.

after doing a little reading on here it seems a missing link is just a check valve with a filter....but maybe Im wrong. Was anything changed on your setup? If im correct in reading then the missing link is indeed a check valve so maybe its dirty? Also I read from searching that if the filter coming off the missing link is dirty then it will cause bucking with the car. How are your vacuum lines hooked up and what year is you S2000? Also what brand is the missing link? maybe its a fancy one that also allows manifold pressure or just a extra vacuum source.

Jay,

1st gen Comptech kits came with the missing link check valve setup, they were not known for always working correctly. I've seen your car and it's a early kit. Comptech replaced the missing link with a ESM, which is a voltage clamp for the MAP sensor. It's pretty much a 1 way door to the PCM and hides MAP sensor voltage in the boost range.

Synapse makes the missing link, you can probably find the routing info there. If it was mine I'd get a MAP clamp and toss the check valve stuff.

The Synapse missing link that I have doesn't utilize vacuum lines...

Pretty sure it hasn't always been that way.

Well I have tried everything mentioned in this thread. Nothing worked. I replaced the MAP sensor and spark plugs.
At least now I know, I have those things replaced with new ones, yet I am still having the same problem, with the
sputtering, lack of throttle response, and the bucking bronco effect. Also It is not blowing off correctly, it sounds
more like a flutter (like the pressure is backlashing into the supercharger impellers) and not the normal sneeze sound
we all love.

I am out of ideas, so it is going to Atlanta to Mainstream Performance. Has to go there, no one here in Chattanooga
knows whats up. Since there are not any reputable performance shops here.

Thanks for the ideas and comments though.

Later !!!
