Default Question about stock O2 sensors, and heatsensor.

Hi

My car started for the first time yday. Now that I borrowed a wideband lambda from a friend, I can adjust the unloaded engine rpm from idle to 3k rpms(didnt go higher) Made it run rich, since the basemap I got from ILP was not working.

In the AEM pro software the O2 sensors read about 4,5 AFR which is not true. Under configuration menu they are set to be AEM UEGO, but I cant find any way to choose the stock ones. There are some other brands in the list as motec for example.

Now to my main problem, as I think this is just some setting in the software. The O2 sensor number 2 (#2) is reading 4.40 constantly. It does not change at all. The number 1 (#1) on the other hand, is varying as i change the engine rpms. It looks alive. THe #2 looks dead. Did I miss something or do I have a probem with my #2 sensor? I assume the #2 is the one in the cat and not the one closer to the motor. If this is true, I haven't even touched this one during my install of the kit.

Now about heating. When I start the engine cold, the temp display on the dash lights up one diode(just as if the engine was starting to get warm). When the engine gets warm, still just one diode is shining. Is this some sort of settings required in the AEM ems? It clearly does not represent real temperature. I did follow de-air instructions for the coolant system and I do get plenty of heat to the the cockpit if required.

Time is running short here as I need to fix the uncertain stuff before wednesday when I have tunertime.

Thanks for any input.

Today I called Chris at ILP to ask about the dashboard heat indicator, and I would probably have found the answer if search was working. However it is the AEM EMS that is NOT compatible with the heat display unless you buy a kit from modifry.com or can solve it yourself somehow. Another unexpected expense. Wish I was told all these things before I bought the items. Plug and play yea right.

EMS will not read or work with the stock 02 sensors.

If you are worried about the coolant temps, your tuner will be able to see them in real time on the laptop.
