SO, i know its been covered a lot but as far as reliability and preserving the motor, what is more detrimental to motor/trans life between the 2?
The comptech S/C kit supposedly creates a lot of vibration on the motor
The greddy kit provides the motor with boost way more often (throughout the RPM range) than a S/C

And you left foot plays a big part in the tranny and drivetrain reliability.

Don't forget your middle foot....derrr. yeah. That will control how long your brakes will last.

I know but considering the greddy kit is fully spooled at 3500 RPM that would create unnecessary boost most of the time. CORRECT?

Not if you shift at 2500.

have you had a turbo'ed car before?
you're not ALWAYS in boost.
just b/c you go past 3500rpm doesn't mean that you'll be in boost.

Ya I have a 98 passat automatic w/1.8t. I'm not sure that piece of garbage has a motor let alone a turbo lol. So I'm pretty new to the FI game. If I shift at 2500 would car bog?

I think you should read about how turbo chargers work.
You can go all the way up to 9k rpm without your turbo engaging.
