what external sensor are u running?
using a nordskog water temp gauge / sending unit

Since the manual says the fans turn on at ~198F, it seems to be reading the temps very accurately.

I'm also having the same problem. My temps are around 212 at a 85-90 deg day when i'm on the freeway.

On street driving, it stays at about 194.

Hey Purp

Put some water in it.

If you redo the aem temp calibration chart. Have them check your tune afterward.

Wow guys, I'm starting to feel self conscious about my set up. I have a stock radiator with stock fans and no other cooling mods other than my EMS switching the fans on at a lower temp. On at 195 and off at 188, so essentially on most of the time while driving.

Any advice from the cooling gurus? I didn't feel an aftermarket fan switch or thermostat would be prudent, given that my EMS is doing all that for me.

Well judging by your temps, you are well within range.

Start to worry when your seeing 230F+ coolant and 280F+ oil temps. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.

thanks for the peace of mind.

There's a dyno-day in the next two weeks that'll give me a better idea of where I'm at with my afr's and my temps once my S gets put on the roller with the wideband and is plugged into his laptop.
