question regarding stock rev limiter
Is it a fuel cut off or ignition? I've been under the impression that its fuel but am kind of hoping its ignition since thats got to be better then going lean. Since going SC and ultimately bouncing off of it somewhat regularly, 1st and 2nd gear really come up quick at 8psi and 4:30 gears, mostly do to the tires spinning which makes it difficult to know when to shift sometimes, once the tires break lose the rpms shoot. Any concerns with hitting the rev limiter regularly? And is it fuel or ignition cut off? Thanks for your input guys.
I feel that overall fuel cut is safer, since the fuel is stopped there is no way you can get an extra explosion in there due to heat or some fluke condition possibly causing an over rev. Also have you tried both? Fuel cut feels much smoother and not so hard on the ignition. Plus its emissions friendly. I think those 3 reasons are why OEM companies use them.
Then again I use ignition cut because I like flames out the rear to be perfectly honest

What ems do you have?
I know with my old s300 on the civic it had both, spark & fuel cut.
I'd "assume" the k-pro and Aem units have that ability as well.
