Default questions for Comptech SC owners

Hello,

I recently purchased a Comptech SC and after a lot of searching i have some questions if you can help me.I am planning to run the SC at 10psi pulley

1)I have a KOYO radiator. I have seen in many pictures that the intake tube of the comptech touches the radiator fan so some people tent to brake a plastic piece of the fan to fit it. Do you have a sugestion for thinner radiator fan since i don't want to make that cosmetic damage in the OEM? I know you can fit smaller ones. Most probably to change only the one who is in front of the blower and creates the problem.Any e-bay link?
2) I have a Berks high flow cat. The owner of the SC told me he had the same cat and if the car backfires then it tend to brake the mirror on the cat. Any feedbacks on this? If this is true do you have any other high flow cat to suggest me since i can't stand the smell of the test pipe?
3) My exhaust is a no brand one BMW M3 style. I don't know the diameter of the tube but i am really worry if it will create backpressure in my engine. I know i need a 70mm exhaust to get the mot out of the SC but it's to much drowning. Would you reckon it would be a problem ?

Thank you in advance for all the help

Have you installed the SC yet?
If you install it yourself than you might run into a problem for the intake tube of the SC.,..
Anyway if your tune is ok than it wont backfire..and dont worry about the cat..
You can run 10 psi no problem...
Also you need a bigger middle pipe maybe 2,5 or 3" and a free flowing muffler..

Hope i answered your questions.

my suggestion is to just replace the whole comptech intake setup with a mushroom style or small k&n cone filter on the front of the blower. the comptech intake is unnecessarily complicated and involves something like 6 clamps and 2 couplers. and it's a bitch to get the airbox to fit properly without rattling/rubbing. and i didn't notice any decrease in performance at all when i switched to the filter directly on the blower. even though it's right behind the rad, the comptech intake doesn't put the filter too far from that spot anyway. i just preferred to keep it simple with the filter directly on the blower.

What do you do with the recirc? You must be running a blow off valve to run this filter configuration yes?

when i had the filter on i just ran a bov. but when i switch back to it (tomorrow) im going to just let the bypass empty to the atmosphere and attach it closer to my aftercooler, it shouldn't make a difference.

Any other suggestion on a radiator fan in case i decided to run the comptech intake? I have seen those and it looks a lot of work with bracket etc. Can i just replace the fan in front of the blower? Any dierect replacement?

Thanks

It's quite expensive solution but do you know if this Mishimoto fan shroud will fit straight on the Koyo radiator?

I'm assuming it should since:

Koyo works w/ oem fans and so does the Mishimoto

If the OEM fans fit both then the mishimoto SHOULD fit the Koyo
