Default quick question for CTSC guys

As the topic suggest, I haven't been able to gather any strait answer's on the max efficient blower speed of the Novi 1000 related to the stock ap1 rev limit of 8900rpm. Sideways did a great thread on the Vortech but I havent seen anything for the Comptech. With these factors what would that equate to in psi/boost level? 10? 12? 15? whats the max psi I can run in other words without over spinning the blower? Thanks experts!

I am running the stock AC if that adds to any portion of the equation.

For more threads, do a search on "comptech max efficiency"

After some research and other members' advice, I decided to go no smaller than my 3.2" SoS pulley. For reference my 3.2" on my AP1 at 9,000 hits 15psi. I'm aftercooled.

Thanks for the link man

15psi is 3 more rated for that size pulley, interesting. What factors do you think are at play there?

Not sure. I bought that pulley thinking I was going to get around 12psi. But a few other members have hit the same 15psi with the 3.2" on an AP1.

SoS Website, regarding size/pressure:
We do not list our pulleys by "pressure" since this varies significantly by a variety of factors including RPM, engine displacement (2.0L AP1 vs 2.2L AP2), factory or modified compression, air density, etc.

As a very general rule of thumb, with all things being equal our testing has shown:

* each increase of 0.2" of pulley size results in a pressure increase of 1 - 1.5 PSI
* each increase of 1000 RPM results in a pressure increase of 1 PSI
* Each 1 point of compression loss results in 1 PSI of pressure loss (although this is highly variable based on method of lowering compression ratio

However, this again varies by a number of factors including compressor efficiency and the following should only be used as a general guide.

----
Wasn't a huge deal for me, since my tuner just capped it at 12psi @ 8.5k, until I'm ready to go with more boost.

I'm in the same boat...

I'm about to buy the 3.2" SoS pulley / map sensor / belt for an AP1.
Currently on a 3.8" pulley making nearly 9 pound.

Not sure if I should invest in a set of titanium springs & retainers just yet though....

Nice That should be worth about 400whp stock. Ported head, good exhaust and some finagling and should be good for another 50+

Stock motor, compression, header, cat, and exhaust. I got 370rwhp @ 15psi, so you should be able to run near 400rwhp with a 3.2" and all bolt-ons and keeping stock compression.

400+ on a comptech is definitely doable, but it seems like a lot of work for not as much gain.
