Default Quick VAFC2 Question...

My car is running NA for now, unitl I can afford to buy my repalcement Comptech Crank Pulley. Sooo, I was wondering; Will a VAFC2 save the tune if I unplug it?
(I have the VAFC2 with PNP frog harness)

Thanks
Eli

Cool. Just to confirm, I can unplug it from the PNP harness or I can remove the VAFC2 and the PNP harness completely and when I hook it back up the tune will be still be there? Thx-

I removed the VAFC2 but left the frog harness in and my car would start and die quickly, and it threw a CEL. I guess I can't leave the frog harness plugged in if I unplug the VAFC2.

You need to reconnect the map sensor.

You'll have cut the wire and connected each end of the cut to the VAFC (it reads the values in, and changes the values out).

Now you've unclipped it, there are no signals going to the ECU from the MAP sensor.

If you installed it correct, they should have bullet connectors to make this easy.

And yeah, the VAFC has a battery in it to store the map.

I have the frog Plug n Play harness, so I didn't have to cut anything. Makes sense though, I just figured I had to remove the frog harness and VAFC.
