Default And the rattle/grinding lives on...

So I posted a while back about a rattling/grinding I was having on engine braking. Now I'm getting it, albeit a little less intense on acceleration as well, and much more pronounced on engine braking. It's definitely coming from what seems to be right below the shifter. I can also feel it if I just rest my foot on the clutch.

It was just at Inline Pro and they told me nothing sounded wrong to them. I'm having a hard time imagining this sound is normal. They mentioned that the clutch can be noisy due to it being of much higher friction that stock. But this is like a grinding metallic rattle.

Anyone else have this and can vouch for it being normal? Or any ideas WTF would be wrong?

TIA.

If it were more toward the passenger side I would say motor mount, but that doesnt seem to be the case. I am having a similar issue but it happens upon medium to hard acceleration or light acceleration if I am turning left (loading the right side).

The motor mount detoriating would lead to the turbo hitting the frame which doesn't seem to be happening. But what else would explain that noise with respect to the motor mount? It just doesn't seem to be to me. Seems it would be more consistent if it was the motor mount.

^ I have an SC61 with the frame ral cut. I take measurements with my eyes and check the housing often. It hasn't really moved at all.

Ok.

So, I'm going to continue with my theory it's something with the tranny or clutch or something not right within. Unless someone with a heavy clutch like that can confirm it's normal. I can't understand why there would be any noise fom the tranny/clutch under engine braking, especially not a grinding/buzzing/rattle.

In all honesty if its coming from the tranny or clutch area under engine braking, it sounds like some kind of backlash. Thats usually in the diff gear box though. I'm just throwing that out there as I haven't heard of or read about any s2k having that kind of issue

Well, I can also replicate it under throttle holding. If I find the right rpm, I can make it do just the same. So, that is what kind of throws a wrench in everything. It was one thing when it seemed to be just on engine braking but now that I can find it under moderate acceleration or throttle holding that just points to something else I think: I just don't know what. I'm no tranny genius.
