Default RC injectors

Like the title says I have RC injectors and don't know what wires to splice? There are two wires on every stock injector clip all different colors and the new clips have just two black wires per clip. What I want to know is does it matter which wire goes where?

Thanks in advance
Kristian

The orientation of the wires is the same and the wires do matter. I called RC about this and was told to put the RC injector in the same position as stock and solder or use a connector of some type. For example if you are working on the #4 injector, the wire closest to the firewall would go on the rt side of the RC injector clip just like stock. I suggest doing one injector at a time so you don't lose track.

I hope that makes sense

That makes perfect sense, thank you.

I had exactly the same question when I did mine and came to the same conclusion.

If the common wire is a + than AusS2000's pic is wrong. The common wire on the stock harness is a yellow w/ black stripe which is towards the front of the car when it is plugged into the injector. I am thinking that the common wire is a -, so did I wire them right?

By the way, I have to thank AusS2000 for helping me get the fuel rail back on after installing the new injectors.

Here is how I wired the injectors: A-A, B-B

That's how mine are wired. Nice iso drawing BTW.

I really can't remember the process I went through to work out polarity but I'd be surprised if it were wrong.

The common for my resistor box was hooked up to a + source so I'm fairly sure it's a +. I could be wrong though and maybe I actually connected it to a negative but thought it was a postive the whole time.

So does anyone know for sure if I did it right, before I try to start the car?

HMMM

this is very interesting question

I called RC myself when I first aftermarket set of injectors and what they said to me was that orientation did not matter as long as all 4 injectors are oriented in the same way.

Never had a problem firing injectors

Unless you guys foresee anything I dont
