Default RDX Map Sensor

So I was reading an article in hot rod magazine about a 594HP 5.3L Gen III Small Block for $3,252... http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/e...252/index.html

So this got me thinking how awesome it is chevy engines are so interchangeable and how they used a GM 2.5-bar MAP sensor off of a new Chevy Cobalt SS

and I thought well so are honda motors if you really think about it. So heres my question would the turbo rdx map sensor work on an S2000 turbo build?

The sensor has a different plug and is more expensive. Why not use something already available that fits with out modification?
