Default Rear Differential on High HP S2K

I have a turbo S2k making around 500hp now and am trying to figure what to do with the rear. I want to run drag radials some times. I was wondering if there is anything that can be done to the O.E.M rear differential in order to make it hold up to that abuse. If I cryo everything along with new gears and the reinforced housing and an aftermarket lsd do you think it will hold? Or is my only option swapping the diff for lets say an automatic supra rear or a mustang cobra rear?

Thanks for the help.

I believe Comptech makes a reinforced Diff for around $450.

The Comptech differential housing and ring and pinion gears won't hold up to that power if you are drag racing it. For that matter, the rear axles won't last very long either. Switch to a Nissan 240ZX differential and custom axles and driveshaft if you plan to drag race.

do u think the 240sx diff can handle 500 rwhp with drag radials? I was thinking about the supra rear because i have seen many with 1200-1400hp supras doing fine on the stock rear. I appreciate your advice and help.

I have Comptech Reinforced Housing. but I heard that it is nothing more than some clamps inside. Does anyone know if it has more to it? I also thought about using '04 housing. (also heard that) it has better oiling mechanism than previous models.

I was thinking of using '04 housing, 4.57 gear (less teeth yields thicker teeth), and clutch type slow engage LSD like Cusco or Kaaz.

Also, there was a member who were selling CRH, Kaaz LSD, & 4.77 in for sale forum.
