Default renting truck to pull trailer options

not your typical post. but i am prolly heading to jax to get car tuned at mases place. obviously, i am not driving 300 miles on a base map to have him dial it in. i am going to rent a truck and trailer. what sucks is uhaul wants mileage plus the money per day. anyone know a better place to rent the truck and trailer from?

penske will do it with unlimited mielage, but i have to drive a stupid box truck to tow the vehicle. this is retarded, doesnt anyone rent pickup trucks anymore without ripping me off lol.

enterprisetruck commercial rental rents pickups, but says i cant tow with it. then why in the world would i rent a damn pick up lol.

Id think a base map from mase would be fine to get it down there as long as you don't try to race some bikes on the way.

Otherwise, get aaa, highest level package, get towed 200 miles, get off, then request another tow the rest of the way.

Glad to hear you are doing this. I ended up buying a truck for car hauls, and other misc things, and am in the process of getting a trailer, but typically I just rent one an auto transport from u haul as well.

If you could borrow a truck, and rent the trailer that would be tits.

no shit. i wish i still had my f@#king tahoe. figures i upgrade to a srt8 jeep and it cant tow shit. my buddy has a f250 that i am trying to borrow, but who knows. i might just sack up and rent a penske box truck and trailer for 250. uhaul wants crazy money cause of the mileage. but i am calling to see if they can do a flat rate cost.

the crazy hidden hitch i bought for it is only rated to 2k lbs. its also the smaller size. if i had a bigger hitch, the truck is still only rated to tow 3500lbs. ghey ass pos. the center dual exhaust makes it tough to mount a hitch.

Go on craigslist and pay a tow guy to tow it. 300 miles is not very far. AAA will only go 200 miles per day if you have the premium membership.

There is plenty of people out there looking to make some money. If you do rent a uhaul just unplug the vss or speedo cable, yes you wont have a speedo but you wont accumulate mileage. My friend used to work there and he told me people did it all the time lol.

Or post up in your local section here on s2ki and see if anyone is willing to help out.
