Default rev limiter built F20C engine

I'm getting my F20C engine built and need to know what the engine will take on the rev side of things.

The engine is being fully built (Darton sleeves, CP pistons, F22C crank, InlinePro rods, Superflow built head with Ferrea valves/guides/dual springs, etc...)

The head is not the problem here since with the mods it will take approx 14k rpm's easy. But the bottom end with the F22C crank is a different story.

What are the recommendations / experiences ?

The car should be running in a few weeks. Have to drive it in for about 1k km first ofcourse. Then tuning it.

break it in on the dyno. don't risk possibly melting/washing the rings from an improper tune.

Rev it until it quits making power or sees 10k. Either will work.

Also, I 2nd breaking in on the dyno.

my tuner says I have to drive at least 1000km to break it in.
He's also setting the rev limiter at 3.5k for that time. I don't think i'll brake it.

Any other experiences with the same setup?

what power adder setup?

Rev limit, should depend on two things. One engine mechanical limits. and two the power curve. If it stops making power at 8000 rpms. no need to rev it to 11000.

if it a fairly sized turbo setup. my guess would probably be around 9000 rpms

The turbo is a GT3076R 0.82 AR.

We'll see on the dyno when it stops making power indeed.

Your tuner is an idiot. A prperly built motor is ready to go at start up. Period.

What does your builder think it can spin to

Break it in the right way...on the dyno. I had my S towed 90 miles to my tuner after installing my new F22 short block. Don't get cheap now.

Read.

Do NOT drive the car untuned for 1000 miles unless you want to build another motor.
