Ride Along
Hey guys looking into turboing my S i was wanting to know if i could ride along with a S pushing 500. I have already posted in my local forums and no one has anywhere near that power around me. I would be willing to drive or fly. Im located in Missouri. Thanks

Why do want to ride in one so bad, the real question with any of these is how it performs everyday and at the track. If it is the speed you are looking for find someone with a Z06, I have a few friends with big horse power cars that would take you for a spin. You could probably track down Z06-Killr in the KC forum and get him to take you for a spin.
What are your goals other than power? Drag Racing? Just for fun? Are you willing to put 15K-20K down? Are you willing to have the car undrivable for long periods of time while building and repairing?
You are a few miles away, I would be happy to give you a ride and help.

i want to have a feel for how that car pulls drives etc. Every one says that FI completely changes this car, i want to experience how. I want to see if it is justifying spending all kinds of money. I would like a summer car that i can go cruise around in. Not drag race or track it but street race from time to time. But a reliable "fun" car that is just faster than a stock S.

if your just looking for a reliable and fun car that is just faster than the S, then even 300 whp is fun and reliable. yes, you might get used to it, but then again, you may find its perfectly suitable. i think what your doing is a good choice feeling for what you want because folks may say they want 500 and get in an s with 300whp and be happy.
Everyone that said the issue with reliability and having alot of down time is a true statement... some truer than others. but just think... 500whp... think about what your car was designed for, and the price your going to pay to get there... I'm not telling you NOT too.. hell i would love it as well.. being able to pull from a z06....but just realize and think of what reality is. then go from there.
