I drove my turbo S2k from Norway to Nürburgring in Germany (total trip was about 2000 miles/3000km I think). Only problem I had was that I had to change the coil packs in Germany. They simply overheated. It was 40*C, and we got stuck for more than an hour in a dead still traffic jam. When the traffic finally loosened up, the car just died. We pulled over, swapped the coil packs (had 4 spares with us in the trunk), and the car started like a dream again.

Whenever I would road trip I would take my stock injectors, MAP, ECU, spare coilpacks and spark plugs, and the tools required to swap them all. I could be back to "stock" on the side of the road in about an hour (less if my passenger could help). Never had to do it though. Worst I ever had to do was replace a blown cooling fan fuse.

I did 2600 miles over 10 days around Europe and had no problems, just used a lot of fuel!

chef takes his boosted track car cross country every year. Other than having to stop for fuel every 175 miles, it has no issues what so ever.
