Default Roots super charger

I know about the sot kit actually know the guy with the first proto type. Im looking for a sc with a side exit pulley, so the sc can be mounted on the front cross brace and not over the header

Wont work that way. Do some study on roots blowers and youll see. The best design is to have it basically a part of the intake manifold. so it can build pressure in the plenum just below it. The intake ports being part of that plenum.
The sot kit isnt setup like that, but from what i gather, they couldnt really get it to work on the driver side of a USA s2k. too much going on over there and space constraints killed what would have been the choice setup.
Your welcome to change the world though, with enough money anything truly can be done.

I wonder if you could replace a DBW intake manifold with a roots blower? There is alot less going on with the dbw s2ks; the intake manifold is much cleaner and less cluttered.

no kidding. its a cluster **** on 00-05 cars. i would love it on that side of the car, nice super efficient roots blower, even if i had to run a custom hood.

anywho, with it over the header its not the end of the world. some header wrap and heat shielding. it gets hot period under an s2k hood. throttle response is still stellar. and boost builds super fast. with my 9-10psi pulley i see 5psi at 2500rpm

i want to fab up my own kit based on an idea i had

the two problems with plenum based blowers is a the tb is on the wrong side and you cant cool them as good

More talk about roots scer goes here.

SOT doesn't market the kit enough. It seems like an excellent alternative to some of the centrifugal kits. For those of us that want some torque down low and don't want to deal with heat issues that turbo bring while tracking.

well, pretty soon i should have some numbers on 11-12psi can u say 150mm pulley?

on the 135 pulley i made 350dynojet. on the 142 pulley i made 332 DD no correction, which could be 365 dynojet. on the 150 i am hoping for more. thats all i am gonna say right now. i just want MORE

Looking forward to some dyno maps^^^

It would be nice to overlay a SOT dyno vs. vortech/comptech/sos centrifugal style SCer.

Mark probably has some

Or I'm sure he would make them if you ask nicely. I think he was getting ready to go up on a pulley soon.

i was also wondering about this. I used to own a Ford Probe GT and being in that world most of our kits were custom. It is possible to have significant gains with a roots sc mounted before the TB. Check out youtube and type in supercharged probe....... most of them have the m62. Also, all these kits are clutched, meaning you can have a switch cutting the sc off, so you can run around n/a
