Default Running a cutout when using flashpro

I was wondering would it be alright to run a cutout when I finally end up putting my turbo kit on and having it tuned with the cutout open when im at full boost but leaving it shut at normal everday driving? I want to keep my comptech exhaust but run a cutout off of the downpipe when I am at full boost. Also if yes then has anyone has experience with the boost actuated ones? I am wondering which one to get.

well no i dont mean having to do with flashpro in the sense of running one or the other, but getting it tuned properly since it will be closed under normal driving conditions and open only at full boost.

My setup is tuned with my cutout open. Normal driving, its closed and I use the stock exhaust. Best of both worlds. I drilled a hole next to the cluster housing by the engnie start. I then added the switch which came with my dmh cutout kit, and then connected the elctronics. Took me around 20-30 minutes to complete. I did have to take the car to a muffler shop to weld the y pipe. So far works great and gained on that alone around 20-25rhp compared to stock on the same psi.

Is your car running rich when closed? Yeah thats what I plan on doing. I am going to have the cut out put on when I get the downpipe made so it attaches before the HFC that I have which is also 3".

Nope. I run like stock when closed. 14.7 on idle. Crusing under load 14.5-15. Even when I have boosted a bit with the stock exhaust, it still fine(Sounds very nice). I have opened it up before just crusing and the a/f stays the same.

When I push it at wot with the cutout open, its around 11-11.8. It sounds very loud..:0)

Where do you have your cutout positioned?

Its underneath the driver seat pretty much. If i remember correctly it didnt fit closer up to the downpipe. You need to make sure you position it so that a bump doesnt rip apart the motor. If you need a pic, i can try to take one later on today or this weekend.

Yeah that would be great. I was planning on getting so that the y pipe attaches to the cat and it faces down. Im thinking of getting the one jeggs makes.

On my curernt setup, I'm not using a cat. Not sure how it would be with a cat. My kit was used and came with a single 3" exhaust. Since I couldnt stand the drone, I customize my stock exhaust to make everything fit. So with the single exhaust installed on the car, I had the muffler shop cut it and weld the stock one on leaving enough room for the y pipe( I had to do this since the that single was already cut and fitted for that downpipe). Then I had them cut whatever was left of the single exhaust and add the y pipe in its place. The O2 sensor is infront of the cutout. Make sure you dont have it behind.
