Running higher fuel pressure
So I'm going in for a tune next Tues (hopefully for the last time this year after a summer plagued with issues). My buddies tuner (tunes mostly EVO's) told me that running a higher than stock fuel pressure will result in better atomization of fuel.
Right now I'm at ~58psi at idle, but am willing to change that when I get to the tuners next week (if it's set too high)
Will probably be looking for ~550hp (corrected)
Full-Race kit w/GT35R
Ported and Polished built head (OEM HG, ARP studs)
ID1000's
AEM S2K fuel rail w/100psi pressure gauge
AEM FPR
Aeromotive 340lph in tank pump rewired off the battery
Hondata K-Pro
91 octane pump gas
Will be pushing between 13-17lbs of boost (guesstimate)
So do I need to lower my pressure? Any disadvantages to running it where I'm at?

U won't hit that power on pump gas no matter what base fuel pressure on stock cr.
Go e85 and u will come close to your goal. Injectors will hold u back.
U only raise base fuel pressure if u run outa injector and want to cheat

So I should turn down base pressure before tuning again?

only turn up the pressure if your injecters are maxed out. YOu will not need to turn you pressure up from stock with your goals. Id1000cc injector will support 500whp om e85 and 600+whp on gas at stock base fuel pressure.
C'mon man...I've never come in here bragging about big dyno #'s. All I can do is pass along the info that they give to me. I live more than a mile above sea level, so I'm sure some correction factor has to be used. I am heading to yet another tuner next week (car has been down basically all year) which is why I'm asking questions and getting the car ready.
I'll make sure I get uncorrected #'s this time as well.
So no one agrees with the better atomization of fuel with higher fuel pressure? Looks like I need to turn it down and run stock base pressure.
