Hell yes the S2000 has piss weak axles it's only a matter of time before they break.

Default S/C guys: Is it necessary to upgrade my axles to support 500HP?

Hey guys,

My stock diff has had some seriously work done to support more power, before I install it should I be swapping the stock axles for the 5.9 Driveshaft shop type?

Any advice would be great,

Cheers!

No, you wont produce enough trq supercharged to exceed the strength capability of the stock ones. You will go through rear ends and transmission first in my experience. Ive been through 3 rear ends and two trans and have 220k miles on my stock axles.

do not do axles. waste of money unless ur doing tranny, diff, and axles all together. If you do diff + axles, you move the weak link to the tranny. Which IMO is much worse. I'd rather replace a diff or an axle than a tranny.

yup a lot of keeping things from breaking is "driving smooth". Be conscious of what you do especially in 1st and 2nd. Most likely to break something. Don't launch from dig. etc

I broke mine with with a hard launch at the track with drag radials. Never at any HPDE or normal type driving. Either way i just keep a set of stock used axles just in-case but ive since then given up on drag racing.

Broke a few sets now, but they're cheap and easy to replace so enjoy Thailand!
