I thought it was wheels and a hardtop?

If you have emissions laws you may want to consider SC.

Hey guys, thanks for all the feedback! Now I just have one more question: How much does a good turbo setup run for it?

I would say that if you want to go FI where you can just slap it on and forget about it then go with the SC as long as you are happy with the power out of the box. If you want some more power and don't mind a little more maitenace, having to get the car tuned, and what is more fun IMO then go with a turbo. The choice is up to you, i'm sure you know whether you like tinkering with your car or not.

I realize that the BRP Hotside SC is only in beta test, but I'm curious how you guys think it will rank with the current SC and TC offerings in terms of usable power and relibility.

I use my S currently as a daily driver (about 50 miles per day) and have been leaning towards going SC once I'm out of warrenty. But obviously the power down low that a turbo offers is very tempting. Does the BRP SC sound like a good option for me?

last time I checked a comptech aftercooled or vortech was around only $4700 shipped so thats a huge difference between the $6000 you originally thought and maybe a $6-7k turbo kit which is great aswell.....also most people that went s/c went turbo afterward so go figure......

There are a lot of people who had SC before going turbo, but I doubt very seriously that most of the people who went SC changed to turbo afterward. Do you have some real numbers to support that, or is it just a feeling you have?

I have the Vortech kit and I'm very pleased. I've upgrade my injectors, and installed an AEM...in anticipation for my turbo. If in the future you anticipate >400 rwhp, you will outgrow the SC. I thought, WOW! Are you kidding, 380rwhp is enough. NOPE, its never enough.

Interestingly, some people never "outgrow" the stock 200 WHP. I think those of us who tend to get bored with vehicles over time, no matter how powerful they are, may well be in the minority.
