Default S2000 Project

I've been meaning to post this but wanted to wait until we got a little further along. We still have a lot of work left to do. I will update this as things move along and I get time to.

We originally got this car with what was suppose to be an AEM Series 2 and Ferrea valve train. We found an AEM Version 1 and Supertech valve train with stock valves, stock keepers and some broken titanium retainers. The exhaust valves were severely bent. Compression came out to 181.5, 157.0, 159.0, 181.5 and leakdown came out to 2%, 36%, 30%, 5%. The engine had less than 500 miles on it.

Out with the old in with the new We pulled the engine. Tore it down. Sent it to our machine shop for a fresh hone, deck surface and polished the crank journals. Fitted the rear of the car with a Ford 8.8 rear end and Drive Shaft Shop 5.9 axles from Full Blown Motorsports and a Toyota V160 transmission we rebuilt with zero miles.

- AP1 Benson sleeved block
- Honda crank polished and balanced
- CP forged pistons with upgraded wrist pins and custom piston rings
- Pauter forged rods
- Honda rod/main/thrust bearings
- A1 Technologies H11/L19 headstuds
- Honda main bolts (brand new)
- Full Blown Motorsports S2000 rear end kit with 5.9 upgrade
- Full Blown Motorsports S2000 rear end with Eaton posi lsd
- Full Blown Motorsports S2000 S2KV160 adapter plate, shifter and transmission mount
- Full Blown Motorsports S2000 Clutchmasters custom twin disc for V160-S2K swap
- Avid Racing differential mounts
- Induction Performance Stage 2 port and polish
- Induction Performance valve job
- Ferrea Competition Plus 1mm over intake valves
- Ferrea Competition Plus 1mm over exhaust valves
- Ferrea Dual Spring Special Alloy Turbo valve springs
- Ferrea Titanium retainers
- Ferrea seat locators
- Ferrea 1mm over intake bronze valve guides
- Ferrea 1mm over exhaust bronze valve guides
- Ferrea valve stem seals
- Ferrea steel valve locks
- Sidewinder exhaust manifold
- Custom catch can
- Injector Dynamics 2200cc fuel injectors
- Inline Pro intake manifold
... more to come

We have a lot of plans for the car. We're going to be fitting it with a ProEFI Pro 128 engine management system with fuel pressure feedback, full flex fuel feedback, traction control and more. The car is going into paint.

Looks like the start of a great build. What are you planning for the turbo, intake manifold, fuel system, and suspension?

I knew I forgot something. Already have an Inline Pro intake manifold we modified a little bit. Turbo will be a Precision Turbo and Engine. Fuel system will consist of IP PTFE lines, Weldon fuel pump and Weldon fuel pump controller. Suspension is still up in the air but we're deciding between three different setups.
